This pastel painting of a fishing boat at sunset is one of my development pieces that was painted as I was learning the techniques of pastel pencil art using the kits of art tutor Colin Bradley. This is another beginner kit that uses just six pastel pencils to achieve the result. When I decided to start doing pastel pencil work, the first two kits I bought to learn from were the Barn Owl and this Sunset seascape. This very definitely falls into the category of early artwork and is one that I had two goes at in fairly quick succession.
