Simple Seascape
Simple Seascape

For this painting, I attended a Jeremy Ford workshop at the SAA in person in June 2017. The workshops are great fun and a good way to learn, but it can sometimes be difficult to do the painting as well as you might like because there are several people for the artist to attend to and there is always a time limit to get the workshop completed. When I’d got the original of this painting back home I wasn’t entirely happy with what I’d done on the day, so I decided to have another go. This time, I was able to work without the time limits and interruptions that are part and parcel of the workshop and so produce a better version than my original attempt.

Medium: Pastel
Size: 40 x 30 cm
Materials: Clairefontaine Pastelmat paper. SAA soft pastels. Derwent pastel pencils
Mountboard Colour: White

Date: 29/07/2017
