Chilham Village in the Snow
This winter pastel painting of the village of Chilham in Kent, England, is one of my development pieces that was painted as I was learning the techniques of pastel pencil art using the kits of art tutor Colin Bradley.
This is another of the beginner kits that uses only six pastel colours to achieve this quite detailed result. The painting was spotted on this website by author Allie Cresswell and was used as the cover for the first of her trilogy of books about characters from Jane Austen's Emma.
